A full balayage with toner and blow-dry finish is included in the service price. Because every head of hair is unique, we recommend a complimentary consultation for an exact quote.

What is the difference between balayage and highlights?

Highlights are applied using foils for a more uniform, all-over lightened effect. Balayage is a freehand painting technique that creates a natural sun-kissed gradient — lighter at the ends, seamlessly blending into your root colour. Balayage typically requires less maintenance because it grows out beautifully without a harsh line.

How long does a balayage appointment take?

A full balayage service at our Winnipeg salon takes approximately 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on the amount of hair and the degree of lightening. We recommend booking a full afternoon and avoiding tight schedules after your appointment.

How often do I need to come in for balayage touch-ups?

Do you offer hair toning services?

Yes — toners are used after lightening to refine your colour result, eliminate brassiness, and achieve the exact shade you’re looking for. Toning is included in our balayage service and can also be booked as a standalone gloss treatment.

Hair2dye4 is a certified Aveda Concept Salon, which means our stylists receive advanced Aveda training and we use exclusively Aveda professional products. Aveda’s plant-based formulas are up to 99% naturally derived, cruelty-free, vegan, and produced with environmental responsibility.

Are Aveda hair colour products safe for sensitive scalps?

Aveda colour products are formulated with plant-based ingredients and are generally gentler than conventional salon colour. We can perform a patch test upon request.

What Aveda treatments do you offer?
